Here's exactly what happens, week by week

No jargon, no surprises. This is the same roadmap we walk through in your free consultation.

Stage 1

Week 0

Free On-Site Consultation

Phil visits your property personally. No sales pitch — just a genuine conversation about your vision.

  • Site access assessment (machinery, excavation logistics)
  • Understanding your lifestyle: fitness, family, entertaining
  • Discussing realistic budget ranges on your site
  • Early thinking on shape, size, finish, and features
  • Timeline guidance based on current build schedule

Stage 2

Weeks 1–3

Custom Design & Itemised Quote

Concept design tailored to your home and site, followed by a fully itemised quote.

  • Bespoke concept design drawings
  • Material and finish recommendations with samples
  • Systems specification (filtration, heating, lighting)
  • Line-itemised quote — no lump sums, no surprises
  • Payment schedule aligned with construction milestones

Stage 3

Weeks 2–4 (concurrent with design)

Council Approval & Engineering

We handle permits, drawings, and VBA submissions. You don't touch the paperwork.

  • Structural engineering for your specific soil profile
  • VBA-required Building Permit preparation
  • Submission to your local council
  • Follow-up with authorities through approval
  • Heritage overlay / setback navigation where required

Stage 4

Weeks 4–8

Excavation & Concrete Shell

The most visible phase. Machines arrive, pool shell is formed, reinforced, and concreted.

  • Site preparation and access protection
  • Excavation to engineered depth and tolerances
  • Sub-floor drainage install
  • Steel reinforcing placement (150mm above-ground formwork)
  • Concrete pour with specified PSI rating
  • Cure and initial testing

Stage 5

Weeks 8–14

Interior Finish, Coping & Systems

The stage where your pool starts looking like a pool — and all the clever systems go in.

  • Interior finish (plaster / pebblecrete / quartz / tile)
  • 300mm ceramic waterline tile
  • Coping tile install (travertine, bluestone, or spec)
  • Filtration, pumps (Serenity Smart available)
  • Plumbing and electrical rough-in
  • Lighting install (LED or fibre-optic)
  • Heating integration (if specified)

Stage 6

Weeks 14–16

Commissioning & Handover

Final inspection, water fill, chemistry, and compliance sign-off.

  • Water fill and initial chemical balance
  • System commissioning and pressure testing
  • AS1926 barrier compliance inspection
  • Form 23 Compliance Certificate issued
  • Full client walkthrough and operation training
  • Warranty documentation handed over
  • Ongoing maintenance options (Serenity Clear)
